NYC Haiti was forced to split points with Saint Lucia as they drew with them 0-0 in the Football Goals Soccer League International Championship at Old Boys and Girls high school on Sunday.

The Haitians outshot Lucia 10 to five, hitting four shots on frame when their opponents only had a shot on target.

The International Championship champions' best opportunity to score was in the 37th minute when Chenco Clena whipped a loose ball toward the net from inside the box. Unfortunately the opposing keeper was well positioned to save Clena's shot.

NYC Haiti drops from third to fourth place in the International Championship standings after the draw--they have two games in hand.

Les Grenadiers took the first shot of the game in the 10th minute as Schneider Charles whipped a shot from outside the 18 over the net.

Nedgy Nazon tested the Lucian keeper seven minutes later when he rolled a low shot from the box. The opposing keeper read the trajectory of the ball to perform a routine save.

The Haitians attempted to score again in the 21st minute as 17-year-old Bern Sanon had a go from distance. But once again Lucia's keeper was well prepared to make an easy save.

The Lucian keeper racked his third and last save of the game to keep Haiti scoreless eight minutes before halftime when Clena struck a loose ball from inside the 18 right at him.

The Haitians took four shots in the second half but none of them went on target.

Two key notes

Two games, two clean sheets: With the service of former Haiti international keeper Frandy Montrevil and an organized backline, NYC Haiti hasn't conceded a goal in their first two matches this season. They blanked Nigeria 2-0 in their first game on April 23rd.

Missing players: NYC Haiti only had 12 players present at the game.
